Tesla Fremont Robot Spot Welding
Project Overview
LEF Engineering collaborated with Mino Automation and a team of engineers on the installation and commissioning of a robotic spot welding cell at Tesla's flagship manufacturing plant in Fremont, California. This project was a key part of Tesla's Body-in-White (BIW) production process, which focuses on welding the car's structural framework before painting. LEF Engineering's role included ensuring the precise integration and functionality of the welding automation, contributing to the high standards of Tesla's advanced manufacturing lines. The control systems were based on Allen-Bradley PLCs, providing robust and reliable performance for demanding automotive production requirements.
